Most people think that racing is easy. They consider it as just driving fast, but do not notice the sacrifices that those athletes encounter in preparation for the races and a professional career. Racing is a tough sport that exhausts you physically and mentally like not many other sports do. I notice it myself a lot during my job as a racing coach. Newcomers often underestimate the power of a car, the handling speed and the way racing at a high level drains your energy.
